We are a small business dedicated to hand turned wooden bowls, boxes, and pens. We are a family run shop and strive to put quality and workmanship first.
I have been turning for approximately 3 years. It's something I have been interested in since I was a small chiild. I finally took the plunge and have been hooked ever since. I turn mostly local wood. I don't cut trees down to turn them. The wood I use is from storm damage, nautrally felled trees, and trees from tree services that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill or a chipper.
My wife, Rachel, handles most of the business side of the shop. She loves spreadsheets, expense reports, and helping customers with questions. She's very helpful and quite inspiring. She will be happy to help you also. I also enjoys answering questions about the process involved and the details of turning a quality wooden bowl or vessel. We recognize customers are very important and we want to make your buying experience a good one. We want you to tell your friends and family about, Homegrown Designs, and have them check us out.
